The Mobile Library project is the dream of Thai Thor, an English teacher living in Laos near Luang Prabang.
Thai has the deep wish to help the poor children from the remote village. He provide them a free access to a good level of English and a computer education. He wants to help them to access to a better future.
This dream comes from the situation of Thai, born as a poor children with few chances to go to school. He first asked the books of his surroundings; then, when his family could send him to school, he had to walk 5 hours by the jungle and come back by running in the dark. When he changed school, he had to do hard work to have enough money to come back to his home. He finally left the village for the city, and went every day to the library he found during one year, to learn English and computer, by asking people around how to use it. Now he wants to be the person here for others, because before he needed somebody in his village, but no one was here.
An amazing example of courage, wich created his huge wish to help all the children he could in remote village. Most of those children have no chance to go to school, because their family needs help in the farm, and are too poor to pay the needs for school. Thai have first started by working as a volunteer teacher in public school, and giving free class after school, and by WhatsApp. He is still giving all his free time for free classes!
Actually, the project has already started by going to one village during his weekends, but his dream is to extend it to many other remote places. For this, Thai needs a car, 5 computers and many books. The budget needed is 340 000 000 kip, which correspond to 19 000$. His 100$ salary is already few for his family, but he still pay for the gasoline to go far in the villages! And now with the inflation, help is really needed.
Seen that found raising are not available in Laos, his friend Elise from France will send all the money collected to Thai by Western Union.

Le projet de librairie mobile est le rêve de Thaï Thor, professeur d'anglais vivant au Laos, près de Luang Prabang.
Ce rêve est soutenu par la profonde volonté d'aider les enfants défavorisés venant des villages éloignés à avoir accès à un bon niveau d'anglais et d'informatique.
Ce rêve est né d'une enfance difficile, Thai étant né dans une famille pauvre, avec donc peu de chance d'avoir accès à une éducation : Thai a du se battre pour cela. D'abord, il a été demander à ses amis de leurs prêter leurs livres; puis, quand il a pu aller à l'école, il lui a fallu marcher 5 heures à travers la jungle, et revenir ensuite en courant dans le noir et la peur. Quand il a changé d'école, il lui fallait être embauché dans de lourds travaux pour récolter suffisamment d'argent pour rentrer voir sa famille. Il a finalement quitté le village pour la ville. Là bas, il a trouvé une librairie où il allait tous les jours durant un an, afin d'apprendre l'anglais et l'informatique, en demandant aux gens autours de lui comment s'en servir. Il veut maintenant être celui présent pour les autres, car lui n'avait personne quand il en avait besoin.
Un incroyable exemple de courage, ayant créé chez Thai une insatiable envie d'aider tous les enfants qu'il peut dans ces villages reculés. La plupart de ces enfants n'ont pas la chance d'aller à l'école, car leur famille a besoin d'eux dans les champs, et sont trop pauvres pour payer le matériel nécessaire à la scolarité. Thai a débuté comme professeur bénévole, sans salaire, et donnait déjà des cours du soir gratuitement, ainsi que par WhatsApp. Et il continue à donner tout son temps libre pour des classes gratuites!
Le projet a déjà débuté, Thai va dans un village pendant ses weekends, mais son rêve est pensé pour étendre sa venue à de nombreuses autres endroits. Pour cela, Thai a besoin d'acheter un camion, 5 ordinateurs et de nombreux libres. Le budget nécessaire s'étend à 340 000 000 kip, soit 19 000€. Son salaire de 100€ est déjà insuffisant pour sa famille, mais il continue de payer l'essence pour aller loin dans les villages! Et maintenant avec l'inflation, de l'aide lui est vraiment nécessaire.
Étant donné que les collectes de fonds ne sont pas possibles au Laos, son amie Elise de France lui enverra l'argent collecté par Western Union.
